Okinawa is full of so many fun things to see and do, there is no reason not to make the most of a tour of duty here; picnic in a park, wander through tropical gardens, or relax on a white sand beach. If you love summer weather, clear ocean water and the thrill of living in an exotic land rich in culture, then Okinawa is the perfect place for you. Lying in the center of a crescent of islands that extends from the southern tip of mainland Japan to the northern tip of Taiwan, Okinawa is the largest of approximately 160 Ryukyuan islands (of which only 50 are populated) that comprimise Okinawa Prefecture.
Although part of Japan, and subject to Japanese national laws, Okinawa with its own legacy, culture, and language is not typically Japanese.
Okinawa is full of wonderful places to visit, it is also a great place to shoot High Dynamic Range Images, otherwise known as HDR images. What is HDR? HDR Photography is generally used to capture extended dynamic range information by bracketing multiple exposures and combining those image brackets into one HDR file. Professional image design and editing is heavily dependent on the use of the advanced picture formats like HDRI (High Dynamic Range Image). Whether it is as a light-source or illumination technique in 3D-scenes (Image Based Lighting), in photography, or in documentation, the additional dynamic range of the HDR-images provides the designer with a superior degree of technical and artistic options.
I hope to see you around Okinawa shooting hdr photography.
