Committee Chair: OPEN
Purpose: The Community Outreach committee is responsible for organizing and mobilizing members for campaign, volunteer, and service projects.
Responsibilities: This committee coordinates at least one on-going community service project at all time. This committee also plans, organizes, and implements campaigns for Democratic candidates and legislation.

DEMOCRATIC INTELLIGENCE COUNCIL Committee Chair: Fred Cuadra
Purpose: The Intelligence Committee is in charge of raising students' awareness of current political topics as well as informing students of what the Democratic Party stands for. In addition, conduct further activities as appropriated by the President.
Responsibilities: This committee writes editorials to "The Hurricane", the "Miami Herald", and other periodicals twice monthly. The Intelligence committee works hand-in-hand with the Publicity committee to distribute this information. Recruits candidates to run for Student Government elections and apply for leadership positions. The committee also conduct counter-intelligence activities as delegated by the President.
When do we meet: Members will be selected from applicant pool and given then informed of the meeting place and time. Must be a full member for one year before application is valid. For further information, contact David Woodard at (f.cuadra@umiami.edu).

Committee Chair: Krista Nelson
Purpose: The Publicity Committee is in charge of raising student awareness of the College Democrats and our activities.
Responsibilities: This committee coordinates the publicity campaign for our events and guest speakers, which includes tabling, creating flyers, going from class to class, etc. They table once a week and notify "The Hurricane", the "Miami Herald and other periodicals of our meeting dates and locations. An on-going goal of this committee is to recruit new members to meeting by setting and reaching a targeted amount of members per semester.

Committee Chair: Christopher Vazquez
Purpose: The Ways and Mean Committee is in charge of finances for the club, that is, keeping the club finances in full.
Responsibilities: This committee tracks our budget to keep us fully funded. They work with our local, state, and national affiliates to solicit donations and grants. This committee funds and budgets our four committees. Completes yearly, capital, and supplemental budgets. Like the Community Outreach committee with volunteering, this committee coordinates at least one on-going fundraising activity at all times.
